Forgot to take birth control pills, what to do?
Forgetting to take birth control pills is a common occurrence, but correcting it properly can significantly reduce the risk of pregnancy.
If you forget to take “1 pill”: Take it as soon as you remember and take the next pill as usual
If you forget to take “2 or more pills”: Take 2 pills as soon as you remember and 2 more pills the next day, then continue as usual.
If you forget to take “3 or more pills”: Stop taking the current pack, wait for your period, then start a new pack. If you have intercourse, it is recommended to use condoms.
Daily birth control pills work best when taken on time, but if you miss it, don’t panic — just knowing the right way to handle it means you can still be in control.
