Hello, I have an experience with abortion to share.
I became pregnant when I wasn’t ready, and my parents couldn’t find out. I was very stressed and worried about the consequences. I searched online and found only online drug sales. I almost decided to buy them but was afraid of the danger. So, I looked for information and inquired through the RSA network page, finding various clinics on the RSA website, both in Bangkok and other provinces. I found a hospital that is part of the RSA volunteer network. At the hospital, I had an ultrasound, and the result showed I was 15 weeks pregnant. I inquired about the costs and scheduled a day for the service. Most clinics provide services only up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, so I chose to go to the hospital because it was safer.
That night at the hospital was the most excruciating for me. I arrived around 7 PM. The doctor did an internal examination, took my temperature, drew blood, and then took me to the patient room to change clothes. I lay still for about half an hour. A nurse came and inserted the first pill, which was still okay. After 1-2 hours, the second pill was inserted. Then I started to feel a dull pain in my lower abdomen. After the third pill, I felt intense pain, squeezing and pressing my abdomen hard. The lower abdomen was very hard and extremely painful. I couldn’t sleep at all, with back pain and abdominal pain radiating throughout my body. Around 3-4 AM, I started to feel intense pain as if I was about to give birth. I tried to push for a while, and when I went to the bathroom, it felt like something came out. After that, the nurse quickly came to assist me. The fetus had come out, and the more painful part was delivering the placenta. Once it was done, I rested for 2 hours. The doctor did another internal examination and suctioned out the remaining tissue. It was very painful but only for a moment. After it was done, I rested for another hour, received medication, and went home.
I thought the pain would only be at that moment, but when I got home, I still had back pain and abdominal pain, though less than at the hospital. After 4-5 days, I felt better. From this experience, I want to tell people who are going to have sex to use protection if you don’t want to go through such a painful experience. This experience will stay with me forever, and I will never forget it.
No woman in this world intends to get pregnant just to have an abortion.
