“Assistance with unplanned pregnancies must begin with attitudes/perspectives, which are considered crucial. The criminal law and the Medical Council’s regulations clearly state that abortion can be performed under specified conditions. The key factors in a doctor’s decision will vary, and “attitude” will determine whether one agrees or disagrees.”

If attitudes can be changed, services can be provided. “Doctors should view pregnant individuals as those who are suffering, need treatment, and seek help from us, without the doctor having to judge the service recipient…” Ultimately, one should become pregnant when ready, and if problems arise, one should know the ways to seek help.

“Sending encouragement to doctors dedicated to providing safe abortion services to teenagers and women with unplanned pregnancies…”
