..Dr. Suwannachai said that the Ministry of Public Health is preparing to handle the situation by creating the Smart Families initiative, enacting various laws and policies, including the National Reproductive Health Development Policy and Strategy, Edition 2, to promote prepared and intentional births and to encourage the upbringing of children to reach their full potential, becoming a key force in the country’s development. The Prevention and Solution of Teenage Pregnancy Act has been enacted to integrate relevant agencies through a committee format, reducing the birth rate among teenagers aged 15-19 by half before 10 years, and aiming to reduce the teenage birth rate by 2027 to no more than 1.5 per thousand population.
