Currently, Thai law allows women to receive pregnancy termination services (gestational age not exceeding 12-20 weeks) without criminal charges. This is another law that sets guidelines for safe abortion after the amendment of the abortion law in early 2021. Although this is not a new abortion law, it is found that many public hospitals still do not provide pregnancy termination services, and this issue remains a debate on professional ethics.
