Trang Hospital welcomes the Department of Health and team to visit, encourage, and monitor the operations of the abortion service unit in Health Zone 12.
August 15, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Paweena Booncharoen, Deputy Director of Secondary and Tertiary Mission Group in Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Social Work, welcomed the Department of Health and team to visit, encourage, and monitor the operations of the abortion service unit in Health Zone 12. The team from RSA (Referral system for safe abortion), the Tam Tang Group, Singburi Hospital, the Bureau of Reproductive Health, Health Center 11, and Health Center 12, led by Ms. Parisa Duangthong, Head of the Social Work Group responsible for the abortion service system at Trang Hospital, presented at the meeting and exchanged discussions on services after the amendment of the criminal law, which came into effect on February 7, 2021. The law restored bodily rights to those with unplanned pregnancies, allowing them to terminate pregnancies up to 12 weeks and 12-20 weeks under conditions of examination and counseling at the Ratchaphruek Meeting Room, Administrative Building, 2nd Floor, Trang Hospital.
