The Ministry of Public Health prioritizes service providers, starting with developing personnel capabilities through Option Counseling, which has evolved into Empowering Counseling. Over the past 4 years, approximately 500-600 personnel have undergone training processes, making them reasonably prepared to provide services.
The service system covers care from antenatal care, which is an indicator for assessing risks that could lead to violence. It was found that most children do not attend antenatal care, even though hospitals have special antenatal care systems and friendly antenatal care. However, it must be linked with several units in the hospital. Personnel must understand that these children are in a vulnerable state, and the hospital must prepare the children before sending them back to their areas.
We emphasize Parenting Education, which includes knowledge from various international sources. Having a family network is part of creating a societal shift. Parenting Education involves skill-based work that requires families to practice and return to the process, which may improve preventive work with both girls and boys.
Regarding working with men, the focus is on creating awareness in society so that society and men become conscious. We agree with Area Based, Target Based, and Agency Based work. In the past, the integrated work of the government sector has failed, so it may need to start with the practitioners and then push towards government policy. As for volunteer social workers, we are currently gathering information on where we have social workers ready to volunteer, to create a directory and connect with 1663 for collaborative work.
