SWAT Medical Clinic (Non-Profit Organization (NGO) operating under the Family Planning Association of Thailand, established in 1970. SWAT works on preventing and solving unplanned pregnancy issues, preventing HIV infection, improving the quality of life for the elderly population, providing reproductive health care to remote populations, and improving the quality of life for populations in the three southern border provinces with equality, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.
SWAT’s Mission
1. Provide quality family planning services through 10 SWAT clinics nationwide.
2. Campaign to prevent unplanned pregnancy issues among youth.
3. Campaign to prevent HIV infection issues.
4. Care for the elderly population and prepare the elderly population.
5. Care for the population in the three southern border provinces.
6. Care for the population in refugee centers in Tak and Mae Hong Son provinces.
7. Care for the population in remote and isolated areas.
SWAT Services
1. Provide family planning services under the regulations of the Medical Council.
2. Provide speakers to educate on preventing unplanned pregnancy issues, contraception, family planning, life skills scouting, HIV/AIDS prevention, and quality of life development.
3. Organize activities to educate on preventing unplanned pregnancy issues and sexually transmitted diseases.
