The 1663 AIDS Counseling Line is operated by the AIDS Access Foundation. It first started providing AIDS-specific counseling services in 1991. Later, on May 1, 2012, the AIDS Access Foundation collaborated with the Thai Red Cross Society, the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, and 11 AIDS-related NGOs to establish the AIDS counseling line operated by the AIDS Access Foundation as the national AIDS counseling line, with capabilities under the supervision of 1663 staff. In September 2013, the alternative counseling line for unplanned pregnancies was launched 1663.

The 1663 counseling line not only resolves issues of unplanned pregnancies and provides information on service options but also offers assistance and referral services to ensure access to services that meet needs and are safe. This includes cases of continuing pregnancy by coordinating shelter during the waiting period for childbirth and postnatal care, as well as coordinating referrals to safe abortion services according to gestational age. If unplanned pregnancy is found to be due to violence requiring legal assistance, the unplanned pregnancy counseling line will coordinate and refer for appropriate assistance.

This ensures comprehensive assistance for women with unplanned pregnancies, not only by listening to problems and alleviating feelings but by helping those facing issues to truly access services that align with their choices.
