There are 4 principles that should provide equality for women in the decision to terminate a pregnancy:
1) The body is the complete freedom of women. When it does not infringe on others, women should have the right to decide what to do with themselves.
2) Allowing an unprepared pregnancy to be born into society, when the pregnant woman is not ready to care for it, creates a burden for women, affects the future of the child born, and exacerbates problems for society in the future.
3) The right to decide should belong to those who can exercise that right. As long as the embryo cannot be separated from the womb, it is merely an uncertain “future.” Will society allow that future, which has not yet arrived, to destroy the “present”? If the present is destroyed, the future cannot exist.
4) Prohibiting abortion by law benefits no one. Because when a woman wants to terminate her pregnancy, she will do it anyway. We should respect the decision and dignity of women as human beings who were born first.
