This law was unanimously approved by the Scottish Parliament since November 2020 but was just enforced this past Monday.

Under this law, educational institutions and local government offices must provide sanitary pads in restrooms, and distribution points will be set up in various public places to ensure maximum coverage.

Additionally, there will be an application called “Pick Up My Period” available for free download, which will help locate the nearest sanitary pad distribution point at that time.
